Her core expertise spans software development and customized technology solutions, web and e-commerce technologies, business process automation, AI-driven solutions, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology consulting, digital business solutions, enterprise technology, and creative technology.

With extensive hands-on experience across technology and digital innovation, Nishat combines technical understanding with business and strategic thinking. Her approach focuses on understanding the underlying problem, evaluating the technology opportunity, and designing solutions that are practical, scalable, user-oriented, and sustainable.

Throughout her career, she has worked across diverse areas of software, digital platforms, technology-driven business development, entrepreneurship, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Her experience includes developing and leading technology initiatives, building software products and customized solutions, supporting digital businesses, and helping organizations adopt technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and growth.

Her contribution to the technology ecosystem extends beyond her professional work.

For the past four years, Nishat has been officially involved with the NASA Space Apps Challenge, serving as both Mentor and Judge, supporting young innovators and evaluating technology-driven solutions addressing real-world challenges.

She is also an Official Judge for Infinity AI BuildFest 2026 and has served as a Judge at the BASIS National ICT Awards 2022, in addition to participating as a judge in various technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship competitions.

Nishat currently serves as a Mentor at the SME Foundation, supporting entrepreneurs through knowledge sharing, mentoring, technology adoption, business development, and growth-oriented guidance.

Over the years, she has trained and mentored numerous entrepreneurs, many of whom have gone on to establish successful businesses and create employment opportunities.

She has also remained actively engaged with students and young people through mentoring, knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, competitions, and inspirational initiatives, helping them develop skills, think innovatively, and prepare for their future.

Her commitment to entrepreneurship and market development has also led her to organize around seven exhibitions and entrepreneur-focused events, bringing together entrepreneurs, buyers, sellers, and communities.

These initiatives were designed to inspire entrepreneurs, create business and employment opportunities, facilitate buyer-seller connections, and provide local businesses with greater exposure and market access.

From 2022 to 2024, Nishat served as Co-Chairman of Women in IT at BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services), contributing to programs focused on women, students, technology participation, skills development, and professional opportunities.

Her connection with digital platforms began even before the current era of digital transformation.

In 2007, Nishat Mushfiqua became the first female online editor of Sonali Sokal, an online magazine she edited and developed during the early years of Bangladesh’s digital publishing landscape.

Under her editorial leadership, Sonali Sokal achieved an Alexa global ranking of No. 3 at the time, reflecting its significant online reach and audience engagement.

She later served as the Editor of LifeStyle Bangladesh, a Bengali lifestyle magazine.

Through these platforms, she used digital media to highlight Bangladesh, its people, culture, lifestyle, creativity, and potential.

As the Founder of Deshojo Crafts, Nishat has further expanded this commitment by using technology to promote Made in Bangladesh products, artisans, entrepreneurs, creativity, and heritage through a technology-enabled marketplace and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Her work focuses on connecting local entrepreneurs and artisans with wider markets while helping them develop their businesses, skills, digital capabilities, brands, and market opportunities.

She is also developing Bangladesh Heritage Archive, a long-term initiative exploring how technology can document, preserve, and make accessible Bangladesh’s cultural heritage, knowledge, music, traditional instruments, regional traditions, and stories for future generations.

Across these diverse areas of work, one principle remains consistent:

Using technology and knowledge to create opportunities and promote Bangladesh.

Whether the work involves software, digital platforms, entrepreneurship, education, creative initiatives, cultural heritage, or traditional products, Nishat seeks to showcase Bangladeshi talent and connect local potential with wider and global opportunities.

Her international exposure and travels across different countries have further broadened her understanding of technology, business, entrepreneurship, culture, and global opportunities, which she continues to share through her work with entrepreneurs, students, professionals, and communities.

For Nishat, technology is not simply about building software or digital systems.

It is a means to solve real problems, enable businesses, develop people, preserve knowledge, create employment opportunities, and take Bangladeshi talent and innovation to the world.

From software to crafts, from entrepreneurs to young innovators, every effort has a common purpose—to create opportunities, showcase Bangladeshi talent, and take Made in Bangladesh to the world.

With nearly two decades of experience, Nishat Mushfiqua continues to work at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, education, creativity, and Bangladesh’s global identity—bringing technical expertise, industry experience, and purpose to every initiative she undertakes.
